We have made a few updates to the contract section that are currently only pertinent to the clients using our Contract PDF feature. Now that we have the ability to share contacts between projects, it is more important than ever to ensure that a contact’s legal information is locked into that specific contract so you don’t wind up with unintended changes populating on future documents generated through Spark.
As a result, now, when Spark maps your contract templates for you, we will also mark your initial templates as “Primary”, and once a primary template has been written for a contract, any purchaser and agent fields that have already been populated on that contact will be locked for editing. You will have the opportunity to confirm purchaser information before the contract is generated.
Your ability to further edit the contract will also be limited at that point. To reopen the contract for editing (if you have the correct permissions), you can click the ‘Reset Populated PDFs’ button to destroy the PDFs you have already generated, and re-generate them once your changes have been made.
Feel free to email us at support@spark.re with any questions regarding these updates, the contract PDF writing feature, or Spark in general!
