Today’s elite New Development brokerages in NYC have diverse history, with some having served the NYC market since the early 1900s and others rising to notoriety within the last two decades. New York developers typically outsource the sales and marketing duties of their projects to brokerages, relying on these external teams to close deals with potential customers on their behalf. Corcoran Group

Founded by NYC Real Estate Broker and renowned Shark Tank ‘Shark’, Barbara Corcoran, The Corcoran Group has dominated the NYC real estate industry since their inception in 1973. The firm has been repeatedly heralded as a leader across the industry, being named the top brokerage in Manhattan for 4 years in a row, from 2020 to 2023.

In 2005, Corcoran merged with Sunshine Group to create Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, a new division that focused on New Development sales & marketing.
